Rihanna and Chris Brown are back in a Relationship

On February 10, 2013, Rihanna and Chris Brown, after being split up since 2009, were spotted together at the 2013 Grammy Award show as a happy couple.

In February of 2009, R&B singer, 19 at the time, Chris Brown punched, bloodied and threatened to kill his girlfriend, 21 at the time, Rihanna. He was charged with two felonies, assault and making criminal threats.

That is the first sign to a not only failed relationship but one that is based off of lust and not love. I actually give Rihanna props for standing up for herself, going to the police and turning in the man she “loves”. That shows how strong of an individual she is and gives women, who have dealt with domestic violence, strength for themselves. She then goes on to separate herself from Brown. According to her bio in people, “She also has become a spokesperson against domestic violence”.

Then she ruined everything. In 2012, Rihanna reconnected with Chris Brown. They worked together on the song “Birthday Cake” that was released that year. Then song is very explicit but scandalously talks about the sexual relations they had. This song changed the game between them and this is when they artist began to talk again. Since then the couple has been seen in many times together in a more than friendly way. This year the couple was spotted at the Grammys together.  Crushable.com says, “In Rolling Stone‘s February cover story, which is aptly titled “Crazy In Love,” Rihanna confirms what was already painfully obvious to anyone with eyes: she and Chris Brown have resumed their totally healthy and normal relationship. ” “Healthy and normal”; ha that’s a laugh in itself. No healthy and normal relationship consists of a man beating a woman and threatening to kill her, even if he is upset.

Rihanna goes on to say, “I decided it was more important for me to be happy. I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake.” And a mistake it is. My mother always told me that a man should never put his hands on a woman in way that demeans her. What makes Rihanna think that he will never do it again? By going back to Chris Brown she is letting all women, abused or not, down everywhere in the world. She is not only showing that it is okay for a man to hit a woman but that he deserves a second chance. Love or not she is stupid! My advice: Don’t fall in “love” (LUST) because in this case and many others love is definitely blind and makes you do crazy things.
