Mr. Gnadt awarded by local radio station

Very popular among students and faculty, Mr. Gnadt won the award "Teacher of the Month."

Nominated by a parent, teacher, and friend, Mr. Gnadt was recently honored with the title of “Teacher of the Month” by a local adult contemporary radio station, B93.3. Since being honored with this award, Gnadt has failed to hear back from the station, but is expecting to be notified shortly of what exactly goes along with this title. Also, a photographer is supposed to be coming to take a picture soon.

Around the last week of February Gnadt received a phone call from the station, announcing that he had won. It was his first time even hearing about this award. “It was an honor. When doing something you love for a living, it is nice to be recognized. I was surprised, I didn’t really expect it,” Gnadt stated.

On B 93.3’s website, there is a link that explains in detail the contest. Also online, is where one may nominate a teacher. Some of the prizes consist of gift cards to restaurants, book stores, a visa gift card, free ex-rays, teeth whitening, and other valuable coupons. In addition, a plaque is offered.

When students first heard his award they were not surprised. “Mr. Gnadt is a great teacher. The class always had lively discussions and he gets along so well with his students. He definitely deserves this award and is a favorite teacher for most,” stated junior Haji Camara.

Dominican is proud to have such a great teacher, co-worker, and friend within their staff. Congratulations, Mr. Gnadt!
